Work and living policy
** over 18 years only.
** The volunteer program has 5 weeks (and can be extended)
** Once the volunteer gets used to the work, they can become responsible for particular duties and help in organizing the work.
** For all living at TIBÁ, permanent or temporary, we have a routine regarding clean up work and maintenance and these activities are shared in a weekly basis, changing every week and you will be a part of it.
** The volunteers help with daily house keeping tasks like looking for firewood, preparation of food stuffs (planting, harvesting and prepare meals).
** On Sundays the preparation of the meals is the responsibility of the volunteers.
** We expect 46,5 hours work a week along 6 days and sometimes work on Sundays can be excepted.
** The paid amount gives you 3 meals/ daily and accommodation in shared rooms.
** The volunteers will be oriented regarding the activities one should do, among construction, gardening, permaculture, handling farm animals, maintenance and cleaning of equipment, organization, etc. The work requires physical and mental concentration and personal dedication.
** During the workshop the volunteers continue with their activities but they may participate in their free time.
** Our accommodations are comfortable, simple and shared.
** The volunteers are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of their rooms and their bed sheets and personal cloths during their stay.
** In case of desistence of the volunteer program for any reason, the money paid not be refunded.
** Questions and complains should be discussed with the volunteer coordinator.
** After the end of the program we do ask you for an evaluation of the working period.
** You should be able to learn and unlearn.

What to bring:
Personal hygiene ( if possible biodegradable ) insect repellent, bathing suit, bath towel, work clothes, gloves, hat or cap, rubber boots, rain gear, flashlight, trekking shoes
Optional:
Books, laptop, camera, musical instruments
What you should not bring:
Big city life-style habits, animals, illicit stuff, rubbish, no mood for work ( 8,5 h/ day)

TIBÁ offers:
Differentiated kind of work, information, library, internet, fresh air, vegetarian food and an alternative life-style.

Working hours:
Usually we work from Monday until Friday 7 am to 17 pm (with 60 min. breaks for lunch and 30 min. coffee break) and Saturday from 7 am to 11 am.

Visitors:
whenever you wish to receive a visit from boyfriend/ girlfriend, friends, family during your stay at TIBÁ, we kindly ask you to speak to the volunteer coordinator in advance, so we can inform you about the possibilities, costs and accommodations.

Communication:
A public phone does not exists at TIBÁ but we have a cell phone where you can receive calls, make a collect call or use internet after 5 pm.

Access to the town:
The nearest town, Bom Jardim is 3 km from TIBÁ.
